In 1982, cousins Sally Foran and Joe Imburgio founded Alpha Drafting, Inc. in Amityville, NY. Alpha is a subsidiary of Globe Desk Company, Inc. a business that was owned and operated by Sally and Joe’s parents. Alpha started out selling drafting equipment and supplies to the Architectural, Engineering, Contracting A/E/C community. Then in 1984 Alpha started making blueprints and copies for their existing client base.

In 1992 Sally’s son Jay, who had been working various jobs within the company during summers since he was 15 years old, started full time. With a background in drafting and 2 years AutoCad experience, he fit right in. Jay saw potential in the reprographics ability of Alpha and decided to stock a limited amount of drafting supplies. Directing the business more towards reprographics, Alpha began to acquire additional printing equipment. In 1997, Jay became President and decided to move the business the following year to its current location in Farmingdale, NY.

Alpha has grown to be the first all digital “Blueprint” company on Long Island. Being on the cutting edge of technology and keeping up with market trends enables Jay and his staff to always be one step ahead of the competition. From producing 8.5x11 black & white to 50x120 color copies, Alpha has the equipment to handle any job.

As technology advances, Alpha Reprographics advances with it. And we always have. Alpha Reprographics serves a diverse customer base that is dependent upon quick turnaround, quality products and competitive pricing. With these goals in mind, Alpha Reprographics most important assets are the experience and skill level of its employees in all service areas.

A special thanks to my grandparents Marie and Joe Fazio who started Globe Desk which spawned Alpha. If not for them, Alpha would not exist. This web site is dedicated to their memory, which will forever be a part of Alpha.
